Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter (born Holly Hunter) is a famous American actor and producer. She has been recognized for her outstanding performances in films including Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. Holly Hunter was awarded numerous prizes, including an Oscar for her film Piano. At a young age she began playing on stage for several Broadway or Off-Broadway shows. Acting has always been her passion. In the fifth grade she portrayed Helen Keller in an original production. As a result of having Mumps, she was blind on the other side of her ear. This was not enough to stop her desire to become an actor. She was a drama major at the college before moving from Pittsburgh in Pennsylvania to New York City to follow her goals. In a chance encounter she got trapped in an elevator along with the playwright Beth Henley and the two collaborated in the Broadway Crimes of the Heart and made Hunter's debut. Her first film role came following her move in Los Angeles. Her work spans over thirty years and she's appeared in a variety of TV films or series, as well as films. Holly Hunter won a star at the Hollywood Walk of Fame, as well as an award called the Women in Film Lucy Award.
