Holly-Hunter

Holly Hunter is an American actor and producer who is well-known for her high-quality performance in films like Broadcast News The Firm The Piano and The Incredibles. The film Piano won her several awards including an Oscar. Early on, the accomplished actress began acting on stage in various Broadway or Off-Broadway productions. Since her school days she played Helen Keller in a play during the 5th grade. The actress was deaf in one ear after suffering from the mumps virus, however she did not permit this to deter her determination to become an actor. In her teens she studied drama, before moving in New York City. Hunter was trapped in an elevator with playwright Beth Henley when she met her. They worked together to write Broadway Crimes of the Heart in which Hunter made her Broadway debut. The first time she appeared in a film was after she relocated from Los Angeles. Her career spans more than 30 years, and she's been featured in numerous TV shows, films and series. Holly Hunter is a Hollywood Walk of Fame star and she has won Women in Film Lucy Award.
